Kitesurfing - the world's coolest sport
KitePeople Copenhagen is owned and started by Sebastian "Sebber" Selzer:
"I started surfing back in 1989, when I was 13 years old, and I was sold from the first second: Wind, water, nature, windy weather and sweet and cool people.
For me, surfing is not just a sport - it's a lifestyle and culture. Surfing has given me lots of good experiences and friends. "
At KitePeople Copenhagen, it is our most important mission to pass on the passion for surfing as a sport, as a hobby and as a culture to customers and students.
As a student, you get a the best and safe start in the world's coolest sport. We have more than 25 years of experience in surfing and have been teaching since 2006. The most important thing for us is that we can give you a safe experience on the water.
Kitesurfing is an extreme sport, but it can be practiced at many different levels. Some mistakenly believe that you have to be very strong to kitesurf, but it is mostly about technique. It is a super cool sport for men and women of all levels.
Regardless of whether you want to do cool tricks and jump high or just surf out there on the blue wave. As a student, you first of all learn to control the kite to get a good start on your kitesurfing adventure.
We place great emphasis on the safety of the sport and on you being equipped to be able to start on your own after the course. For the same reason, we start with small trainer kites on land.
Around half of our course participants end up standing on the board on an 8-hour course. If you have good balance or know how to skateboard, longboard, snowboard, wakeboard, etc., then you have a good starting point for getting up and sailing on an 8-hour course.
